Course Overview
The Charcot Ankle is a lecture that reviews the etiology and reconstruction techniques of the chronic neuropathic ankle. Also I will review augmented fixation techniques in the Charcot ankle that are utilized to prevent displacement.

Describe augmented fixation techniques used in the management of Charcot ankle fractures and reconstructions to enhance stability and reduce the risk of postoperative displacement

About the Speaker
Lawrence Fallat, DPM
Dr. Fallat is a graduate of Oakland Community College, Eastern Michigan University, and The Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Fallat completed his surgical residency in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery at Highlands Center Hospital in Denver, Colorado and a trauma fellowship at St. Elisabethen Hospital in Ravensburg, Germany. He is Program Director, Podiatric Foot and Ankle Surgery at Corewell Wayne Hospital in Wayne, Michigan. Dr. Fallat is board certified by the American board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has published over 100 papers in peer reviewed journals.
