  • Identify the clinical indications for limited rearfoot arthrodesis in the management of hindfoot deformity and degenerative conditions 

  • Describe the surgical principles and techniques for proper preparation of rearfoot joints to achieve successful arthrodesis

  • Compare surgical approaches, modifications, and incision techniques utilized in performing triple arthrodesis procedures

About the Speaker

H. John Visser, DPM

Dr. Visser graduated Pi Delta, with a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the Kent State School of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, OH. He then matriculated from a three-year Residency program in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Lindell Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Visser is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He served as the Director of Residency Training in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center from 1985 until 2015 when the hospital closed. He was appointed Director of Residency Training in Foot and Ankle Surgery at SSM DePaul Health Center, Bridgeton, MO in 2012. He served as Director of both programs until 2015. He then was appointed sole Director at SSM DePaul.
