Learning Objectives: At the end of the educational program, the learner will be able to:

  • Understanding (Comprehension): By the end of the lecture, students will be able to describe the pathophysiology and common causes of pediatric hallux abducto valgus, explaining how it differs from adult bunion deformities.
  • Applying (Application): By the end of the lecture, students will be able to identify and apply appropriate assessment methods, such as clinical examination and imaging techniques, to diagnose pediatric hallux abducto valgus in a clinical setting.
  • Evaluating (Evaluation): By the end of the lecture, students will be able to critically evaluate different treatment options for pediatric hallux abducto valgus, including conservative and surgical interventions, and select the most appropriate approach based on individual patient characteristics and evidence-based guidelines.

    About the Speaker:

    Mark Solomon, DPM , FACFAS

    Dr. Solomon is a partner of The Pediatric Orthopedic Center in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey. He is the director and founder of the Pediatric Foot and Ankle Fellowship, which is the first DPM/MD/DO fellowship with a pediatric orthopedics group. Dr. Solomon is also a managing and founding partner of POC Creative Works, LLC which is a think tank of pediatric orthopedic surgeons with the combined goal of innovation, research and development of products that help children rehabilitate and recover from orthopedic illnesses and injuries.
