    Micheal Warshaw, DPM

    Micheal Warshaw, DPM

    Michael G. Warshaw, DPM, CSFAC, CPC, CPODCS, COCS, CMSCS is a practicing podiatrist and a Certified Professional Coder with over 25 years of successful coding, management, and training experience for podiatric practices. His local and national views come from active participation as a practicing podiatrist, having the distinction of being a Certified Professional Coder, and years of serving as a national lecturer concerning coding issues. Dr. Warshaw's experience is unique and comprehensive. He has had the additional advantage of participating in all facets of the Medicare Appeals Process, including Redeterminations, Reconsiderations, and Administrative Law Judge Hearings, as well as the appeals processes of most commercial insurance companies and state Medicaid programs. Dr. Warshaw has also served as an expert witness in the actual court system, at both the federal and state levels. Dr. Warshaw is also the author of THE Podiatry Coding Manual, a comprehensive coding manual specific for podiatry that is updated on an annual basis. This unique prospective provides Dr. Warshaw with the ability to provide solutions to insurance and coding problems from 'real world' experience. Dr. Warshaw is committed to assist practices in learning to code appropriately, obtain the proper reimbursement, and to avoid the wrath of the carriers by coding and billing in an appropriate fashion.

    Dr. Chicchinelli is the Chief Medical Director for PICA. He is s graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He ia a faculty member of the Podiatry Institute in Atlanta, GA. He practiced for 19 years in the USA between North Carolina and Arizona and over 10 years between Australia and Spain, focusing primarily on reconstructive surgery and sports medicine of the foot and ankle and teaching.

    Dr. Jacobs is in private practice in St. Louis, Missouri. He is board certified in reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. For 25 years, Dr. Jacobs served as a Director of Podiatric Surgical Residency Training; and has also served as a contributing editor to the Journal of Foot Surgery, Podiatry Today, Foot and Ankle Quarterly, and Clinics in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Jacobs is widely published and a national speaker on podiatric medicine and surgery.

    Dr. Freedman is a Board member of US Foot and Ankle Specialists, the Vice-President and a Founding Partner of Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic, LLC. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in foot surgery; Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons; Certified Professional Coder from the American Academy of Professional Coders; Certified Professional Medical Auditor from the American Academy of Professional coders; and Certified Surgical Foot and Ankle Code from the American Academy of Professional Coders.

    Patricia Nicholas, DPM

    Dr. Nicholas practices at the Orthopedic Center of Florida in Fort Myers, Florida. She has over 20 years’ experience in patient care specializing in diabetic foot care, nail conditions, neuropathy, fall prevention, and wound care. Dr. Nicholas is an adjunct clinician at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, Past President of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association, and current Arbitrator for the New York State Worker’s Compensation Board. Dr. Nicholas is President and Founder of Kindest Foundation, a non-profit organization with a school and medical clinic in rural Haiti.

    Dr. Haber is a board Certified Podiatric Surgeon and Director of the Foot & Ankle Center of New Jersey. He has been in private practice since 1985. Dr. Haber is on staff at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. He is also a principal partner in a group that provides podiatric care to several nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and rehabilitation centers. Dr. Haber is a frequent lecturer and has published articles on tendon and ligament prostheses and heel spur syndrome in Clinics in Podiatry and other professional publications.

    Dr. Brody is in private practice in New York. He has served on the Health Information Technology Standards Panel, the Standards and Interoperability Framework, as a member of the Ambulatory Care Committee at the Certification Commission on Health Information Technology, as a member of the Physicians Committee at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and numerous other organizations. He is currently a co-Chair of the EHR workgroup at Health Level Seven International. Dr. Brody has held staff appointments at several Colleges of Podiatry and is a nationally recognized lecturer on compliance.

    Mr. Crosby is the President of Provider Resources, LLC, a healthcare services firm providing consulting and brokerage services to the podiatric physician community. His strengths include strategic practice evaluation, evaluation of physician group's operational issues with a focus on growth and profitability, practice sales, brokerage arrangements serving as transaction consultant between buyer and seller. He also is an expert at associate buy in, practice valuation, evaluating tax and cash flow implications for both parties.

    Mr. Feldman is a member of Feldman Kiefer, LLP’s management committee. He represents business entities, including health care professionals and institutions, in legal matters including the defense of post-payment audits initiated by private and governmental health plans; corporate formations and governance; contract negotiation and preparation regulatory compliance matters including HIPAA. Mr. Feldman also concentrates his practice in professional liability matters before the Department of Health’s Office of Professional Medical Conduct.

As a counselor at law, Mr. Mercado has provided practical risk management advice to physicians, dentists, hospitals, and medical organizations throughout New York State on legal and regulatory topics. As a national speaker, Mr. Mercado has presented on a wide range of trending medical-legal topics involving litigation and healthcare law.

    Mr. Greer has been in private practice since 1988, after graduating with honors from California Western School of Law. Over the years he has taken the skills acquired from going up against some of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the country, and expanded his litigation practice to include consumer protection, wrongful death, professional liability, healthcare law, employment/labor law, asset protection and complex litigation. Mr. Greer lectures nationally, is well published, and is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. He is also an accomplished trial attorney.
