    David Schweibish, DPM

    About the Speaker:

    David Schweibish, DPM

    David M. Schweibish, DPM, MBA, DABPM (known as “Dr. Dave” to patients) is a board-certified podiatric physician in private practice along the sunny shores of Florida’s Space Coast. He completed undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and a Master of Business Administration at Stetson University. Following a professional stint outside of healthcare, Dr. Schweibish earned a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. This was followed by residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida leading to Board Certification by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He is a passionate mentor and educator of students and early-career physicians. When not engaged in patient care, Dr. Schweibish is actively involved as a leader and advocate within the Florida and American Podiatric Medical Associations, and also as a member of the PICA Medical Advisory Committee.

    Neil Kornfeld, JD

    About the Speaker:

    Neil Kornfeld, JD

    Neil Kornfeld is a founding partner of the firm. Neil’s practice focuses on the defense and counseling of physicians, podiatrists, dentists, hospitals, and nursing homes. Neil has tried over 100 cases to verdict in courts throughout New York State. He has successfully defended cases involving medical malpractice, general liability claims including premises liability, and construction accidents. Neil has also represented attorneys and other professionals in professional malpractice claims. Neil has lectured at medical and insurance conferences and at many metropolitan hospitals on issues relating to medical malpractice and risk management. He has conducted mock trials and spoken on topics ranging from Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy to expert testimony. Since 1998, he has been a faculty member at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and teaches a class on issues related to malpractice. Neil began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in New York County from 1988-1993. He was a partner at a large New York based law firm prior to founding FKB. Neil was named by New York Super Lawyers Magazine as one of the top attorneys in medical malpractice defense in the New York Metro area.

    Luke Cicchinelli, DPM

    About the Speaker:

    Luke Cicchinelli, DPM

    Dr. Cicchinelli is the Chief Medical Director for PICA. He is a 1090 graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He is a faculty member of the Podiatry Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. He practiced for 19 years in the USA between North Carolina and Arizona and over 10 years between Australia and Spain, focusing primarily on reconstructive surgery and sports medicine of the foot and ankle and teaching.
