Objectives of this program:

  • Understand how to perform a physical examination of an ankle fracture
  • Know what imaging to perform to evaluate an ankle fracture
  • Determine if a fracture is stable or unstable and appropriately manage
  • Discuss emerging concepts for the treatment of syndesmotic injuries and posterior malleolus fractures
  • Assess posterior aspect of the calcaneus
  • Identify the exostosis/calcifications ex. medial, central or lateral
  • Assist surgical planning/exposure to get to the exostosis/calcification
